Alan Leech

Since graduating from UCC Music Department Alan Leech has worked as a professional tenor and voice coach. He has performed in both opera and concert with most of Ireland’s ensembles. He has been a full time tenor with the National Chamber Choir of Ireland for the last 10 years, as well as facilitating on their various outreach workshops.

Alan is also a singing teacher and his unique position within the Irish choral world has lead to many offers of work throughout the country to work with choirs, teachers and conductors. He is a vocal coach for the Irish Youth Choir, Irish Youth Chamber Choir & the Ulster Youth Choir. He has also acted as a vocal consultant for the Association of Irish Choirs on their annual Conductor’s summer school. He currently lectures in Voice, Aural Skills and Choral Conducting at the Leinster School of Music’s H Dip in Music Education.
